Central Provident Fund Commissioner has, in exercise of power conferred on him under para 36 (7) of EPF Scheme 1952, made it mandatory for registration of employers/ its authorized signatories with digital signature with the Employee’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
The notification was issued with a view to make its services available to its stakeholders in an efficient, transparent and reliable manner at low costs. In order to make the same successful, it has notified to all establishment to furnish electronically authenticated records through the use of digital signature while submitting statutory returns, claim forms and other information requests.
In this context, the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, SK Sangma has requested all the employer covered under the EPF and MP Act 1952 to register digital signature of the authorized signatories of the establishment by September 30.
