  You are invited to UNICEF to attend an Indian Dance Performance by Sunadha Cultural Group of Samarthanam Trust for the disabled. The sunadha dance troupe comprises of young dancers who are blind or deaf. This event will be held on October 1st 2014 at Labouisse Hall in UNICEF House at 44th Street (between 2nd and 1st Avenues), New York, NY.

           This program is organized by UNICEF and Global Partnership on children with disabilities (GPcwd).  The event starts at 1.00 PM. Try to get there early for security clearance.

           Come and enjoy an hour-long program brought to you by the members of the GPcwd Sunadha Cultural Group all the way from India. Sunadha dancers have gained popularity and received rave reviews from platforms like Rotary International convention, Hampi Utsav, Vishwa Kannada Sammelana etc.

           The group has been honored with group and solo performance awards at the National Dance Competitions and has performed in various parts of the world including USA, UK, Malaysia and Thailand. Sunadha artists perform various forms of Indian classical and traditional dance forms, now expanding to theatre, singing, mimicry and the contemporary.

 

Program:

 

1:00pm – 1:10pm Introduction

1:10pm – 1:40pm performance

1:40pm – 2:00pm Interaction with the artists
